The Harvard GlobalWE Essay Contest is hosted by Harvard Alumni for Global Women’s Empowerment (GlobalWE), a shared interest group of the Harvard Alumni Association and non-profit organization based in the United States. The costs of the contest, website, and various other relevant events are covered through donations—almost all from members of GlobalWE and the public. Here is what your donations support:
$7: One book prize for an essay contest winner (we have over 15 winners annually!)
$10: Printed certificates and bookplates for the winners
$20: One month of hosting our globalwe- essay contest website - keep us live!
$50: Almost two months of email publicity distribution for member news and events, including the essay contests
$100: Printed materials for our annual Expo that connects organizations with each other and with potential volunteers
$200: One year of video-conferencing for board and group meetings
For donations of $1,000 or more, you'll join our Founders Circle, with naming rights to an essay contest of your choice!
